Equipa do InclusiveCourts participa no encontro anual da Law and Society Association em Lisboa

Vários investigadores que integram a equipa do InclusiveCourts participaram como oradores no encontro anual da Law and Society Association que, este ano, decorreu no ISCTE-IUL, em Lisboa, entre os dias 13 e 16 de julho. Três das comunicações apresentadas versaram diretamente sobre resultados do projeto InclusiveCourts – “Reckoning, recognition, and uncharted terrain: Views of the Portuguese judiciary on cultural diversity and professional practice” (Ximene Rego, Manuela Ivone Cunha e Sílvia Gomes); “The right to education and compulsory schooling of Roma children through the lens of court practice in Portugal (Patrícia Jerónimo e Nicole Friedrich); e “Bridging the methods-divide in interviews with judges and prosecutors in Portugal” (Patrícia Jerónimo e Ximene Rego, num painel moderado por Patrícia Jerónimo). Para além disso, Jean-Yves Durand moderou um painel intitulado «Get Vaxxed!» Law and Vaccination during the COVID-19 Pandemic, onde apresentou uma comunicação, em coautoria com Manuela Ivone Cunha, intitulada “Law and emergency vaccination: Dead reckoning”. Sílvia Gomes moderou uma mesa-redonda subordinada ao tema Drug Decriminalization in Portugal: Implementation, Impact and Key Lessons Learned, em que participou também a investigadora Ximene Rego. Manuela Ivone Cunha participou numa mesa-redonda subordinada ao tema Bridging Legal Theory and Socio-Legal Studies in the Iberian Context. O programa da conferência pode ser consultado aqui.
