Patrícia Jerónimo and Maria Cardeira da Silva at the Meeting on Mobility and Human Rights

At the invitation of Judge Raquel Rego, President of the Guimarães’ Court of Appeal, Patrícia Jerónimo intervened as speaker in the conference which took place in Guimarães, on 6 December 2018, as part of the national commemorative programme of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and of the 40th anniversary of Portugal’s accession to the European Convention on Human Rights. The conference was chaired by Paulo Pimenta and, besides Patrícia Jerónimo, included as speakers Vital Moreira, Ana Rodrigues, Júlio Gomes and João Miguel. Before an audience made up mostly of judges, public prosecutors and attorneys, Patrícia Jerónimo took the opportunity to present the project InclusiveCourts to some of its key stakeholders, stressing the human rights issues at stake (equality and non-discrimination, access to justice) as well as the importance of the collaboration with legal practitioners throughout the implementation of the project.
