Presentation of the project InclusiveCourts in conference celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 40th anniversary of Portugal’s accession to the European Convention on Human Rights, Guimarães’ Court of Appeal, 6 December 2018

At the invitation of Judge Raquel Rego, President of the Guimar√£es‚Äô Court of Appeal, Patr√≠cia Jer√≥nimo intervened as speaker in the conference which took place in Guimar√£es, on 6 December 2018, as part of the national commemorative programme of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and of the 40th anniversary of Portugal‚Äôs accession to the European Convention on Human Rights. The conference was chaired by Paulo Pimenta and, besides Patr√≠cia Jer√≥nimo, included as speakers Vital Moreira, Ana Rodrigues, J√ļlio Gomes and Jo√£o Miguel. Before an audience made up mostly of judges, public prosecutors and attorneys, Patr√≠cia Jer√≥nimo took the opportunity to present the project InclusiveCourts to some of its key stakeholders, stressing the human rights issues at stake (equality and non-discrimination, access to justice) as well as the importance of the collaboration with legal practitioners throughout the implementation of the project.
