Justice and diversity in the Law & Society Association annual meeting 2024

The Law & Society Association’s annual meeting, which was held in Denver between 6 and 10 June 2024, was dedicated to the discussion of geographical, political, spiritual, disciplinary and other territories (Unsettling Territories: Tradition and Revolution in Law and Society). Patrícia Jerónimo presented a paper on legal theory and practice for multicultural societies (“Rethinking law and legal practice for multicultural societies: Are we there yet?”), as part of a panel entitled Contours of Justice: Perspectives from Diverse Legal Landscapes, which also had papers from Mark Harris (New York University), Yuri Alexander Romana Rivas (Faculty of Law, McGill University), Ana Carolina de Paula Silva (Tulane University) and Timothy Bryan (University of Toronto).

Patrícia Jerónimo was also chair and discussant in the panel Prosecutorial Power and the Administration of Justice, where the speakers were Kenneth Rosen (University of Alabama), Russell Covey (Georgia State University) and Robert Schehr (Northern Arizona University).
