Cultural diversity in the courtroom the object of a EJTN training in Vienna
The European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) organized, together with the Law & Anthropology Department of the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, a two-day training on cultural diversity in the courtroom for judges coming from all over Europe. The training was held at the Austrian Ministry of Justice headquarters, in Vienna, on 16 and 17 October 2023. At the invitation of Marie-Claire Foblets, Patrícia Jerónimo joined the team of trainers, having co-chaired with Eugenia Relaño Pastor, of the Complutense University of Madrid, a session on Culture as norm or right, and given a presentation on the project InclusiveCourts, as illustration of further resources and techniques on cultural diversity in judicial settings for judicial actors.
