International Human Rights Day at the Medical School of UMinho

On 12 December 2022, the National Medical Students’ Association (ANEM) hosted a conference to commemorate the International Human Rights Day. The conference gathered academics, human rights defenders and intercultural mediators to discuss the human rights of immigrants and refugees (“Portugal de Portas Abertas: Direitos das Pessoas Migrantes e Refugiadas”). The conference was held at the Medical School of the University of Minho.

The guest speakers were Patrícia Jerónimo, Ana Filipa Silva (Portuguese Council for Refugees - CPR), Saidatina Dias (Association of Senegalese Immigrants in Portugal), Vasyl Bundzyak (UPE – Luso-Ucranian Social and Cultural Centre) and David Rodrigues (Portuguese Red Cross).
