III InclusiveCourts Workshop, Padrão dos Descobrimentos, 27 September 2019

The third InclusiveCourts Workshop took place at the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, in Belém, on 27 September 2019. The presentations covered a range of topics, including concepts (culture, Sharia), the reasoning of judicial decisions and the interplay between cultural diversity and different fields of law (Family law, Criminal Law, Funeral Law). Besides the team members, the workshop had as guest speakers Jaime Valle, from the Law Faculty of the University of Lisbon, Rossana Cruz, from the Law School of the University of Minho, and Nuno Saraiva, from the Social Sciences and Humanities Faculty of the Nova University of Lisbon. The workshop was also attended by Master students of the Master Programme in Human Rights, of the University of Minho, and of the Master Programme in Anthropology, of the Nova University of Lisbon.
