InclusiveCourts’ team debates diversity in family relations

Diversity in family relations was the subject of a webinar organised by Cristina Dias and Rossana Martingo Cruz, in the framework of the project InclusiveCourts. The webinar, held on 8 April 2022, brought together psychologists and lawyers for an interdisciplinary debate on trans parenthood, the interpretation of the best interest of the child by domestic courts in Europe, the culturally formatted roles of the different family members and the provision of care, and the Portuguese case law dealing with the review of foreign judgments originating from Muslim majority countries. The session included a short intro by Patrícia Jerónimo and paper presentations by Inês Espinhaço Gomes, Judite Peixoto, Miriam Rocha and Ricardo Cunha.
