Migration, citizenship, and fundamental rights debated at ICON.S Dublin

The 2026 edition of the annual meeting of the International Society of Public Law, under the overall theme of Reimagining Public Law for a Fractured World, was held at the University College Dublin between 29 June and 1 July 2026. Patrícia Jerónimo put together a panel to discuss the anti-immigration turn observed in Portugal in recent years and its repercussions in matters of citizenship, fundamental rights, and the rule of law. The panel was chaired by Luís Meneses do Vale (Law Faculty University of Coimbra) and had Luísa Neto (Law Faculty University of Porto/Institute of National Administration), Anabela Costa Leão (Law Faculty University of Porto), Ana Maria Rodrigues (Law School University of Minho), and Patrícia Jerónimo (Law School University of Minho) as speakers.
