The overall theme was judicial approaches to issues of cultural and religious diversity in Europe. The conference was also the occasion for the launch of the CUREDI database.<\/p><p>Patr\u00edcia Jer\u00f3nimo, who is country expert for Portugal in the CUREDI project, presented a judgment of the Lisbon Court of Appeal on racial discrimination and \u201chate music\u201d, and discussed a case report on a judgment of the Spanish Constitutional Court on the right of the parents to ensure that their children\u2019s education is in conformity with their religious or philosophical beliefs.
